Town of Vail welcomes new events coordinator
VAIL — The town of Vail recently announced the hiring of Ernest Saeger to fill the position of special events coordinator.
In his new role, Saeger will be responsible for coordinating overall town operations for special events including development and implementation of event permitting processes and will be the liaison for event promoters.
An avid mountain biker and outdoor recreation enthusiast, Saeger has worked on events including the PGA Tour, GoPro Mountain Games and the 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships. His most recent experience was with the Vail Valley Foundation as director of operations, venues and facilities for that group’s athletic events.
As the town’s newest employee, Saeger joins the town’s economic development team with event liaison specialist Laura Waniuk and headed by Kelli McDonald. McDonald said Seager’s experience with the town event permits and processes, as well as his established relationships with town staff and businesses, will provide an immediate benefit.
For more information, call Saeger at 970-477-3551 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
