Vail holding annual meeting Thursday

VAIL ” The Vail Town Council will hold its annual community meeting and open house from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at Donovan Pavilion.

Full-time and part-time residents, business owners, property owners, employees and others interested in Vail are encouraged to attend. Parking is free, and appetizers and drinks will be served.

Doors open at 4 p.m. with the open house. The business portion of the meeting will begin at 4:15 p.m. with introductory remarks by Mayor Rod Slifer, followed by a review of the town’s financial report, a redevelopment update and introduction of the town’s upcoming work plan. In addition, a state of the town report will be presented by a planning and research firm.



The open house displays will include information on the major redevelopment projects, plus materials from the Fire Department on pine beetle-related actions as well as firewise tips to help protect homes from wildfires. In addition, members of the Town Council and staff will be available for one-on-one discussions with constituents.
