Vail Hot Yoga and Vail Health Solutions team up to offer guided sugar cleanse
VAIL — Vail Hot Yoga and Vail Health Solutions are joining forces to offer a 30-day guided sugar cleanse beginning Monday.
The latest numbers are showing that the average American eats 150 to 170 pounds of sugar per year.
“Study after study is showing that we are gaining weight and numerous health issues with the increased consumption of sugar,” said Ame Onofrey, the owner of Vail Hot Yoga. “When we speak to our clients a lot of them say, ‘I don’t really eat a lot of sugar.’ But as we find out more about their diet, they do eat loads of high glycemic carbs that act just like sugar in the body. We’re excited to offer our first group cleanse to help educate people, provide group support and lots of healthy alternatives and recipes to discover that life is not over when you give up sugar.”
The event organizers have created a food plan that will guide you step by step with satisfying and nutritious food choices that will guide you to a healthier new you.
The program runs from Monday through March 15. The cost is $150, which includes food lists and six (one-hour) meetings to offer regular support and guidance.
