VAIL, Colorado ” Dobson Ice Arena in Vail, Colorado will close for scheduled maintenance and upkeep Sunday.

The ice sheet will be replaced and boards and glass will be cleaned along with other routine repairs.

Dobson Ice Arena manager Jared Biniecki says Dobson will resume normal operations and programming complete with ShowTime skating, hockey camps, public skating and its largest adult hockey league to date, which includes 28 teams from throughout Eagle County, including a women’s specific division.

Additionally, the Bob Johnson Hockey School will return July 19-25 bringing some of the top instructors in the country, including U.S. women’s coach and 1980 Olympic team member Mark Johnson, to Vail to teach young players how to improve and develop their hockey skills.
