Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL, Colorado – The Vail Public Library will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday while staff training is underway. Regular operating hours will resume that day beginning at 3 p.m.

The library is experiencing one of its busiest years ever with visitation as high as 922 daily. The most popular services are children’s story hours, DVD rentals and Internet access. Yet to come will be a new and improved Web site and a winter season newsletter to be published in November.

The library’s upcoming events include a monthly book discussion group which meets Wednesday for a discussion of “The Sistine Secrets: Michelangelo’s forbidden messages in the heart of the Vatican.” For the kids, a scarecrow making day is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The library is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Visit for details.
