Vail lifts parking restrictions

VAIL, Colorado ” Restrictions on Blue and Green parking pass holders were lifted Monday in Vail, Colorado.
The Blue pass is now good for entry into the Vail Village structure Monday through Thursday as well as anytime in the Lionshead structure, while the Green pass is good for into the Lionshead structure.
Free parking along the north frontage road in West Vail is no longer available. The spaces will be available Friday through Sunday until the next busy period, during the Martin Luther King holiday, Jan.16-19.
Blue and Green passes will again be restricted that holiday as well as during Presidents’ Weekend, Feb. 13-16.
Full parking garages have forced cars onto the south frontage road six times so far this ski season. The busiest day was Friday when there were 688 cars parked along the road.
Vail buses have also been busy and the town has increased service.
