Vail looking to fill board seats

VAIL, Colorado – The town of Vail is seeking community members to fill vacancies on three citizen boards – the Vail Commission on Special Events , Planning and Environmental Commission and the Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council.
Applications for all vacancies are due Dec. 8, by 5 p.m. The Vail Town Council will conduct interviews during its work session on Dec. 15, with appointments to follow at its evening meeting. Commission on Special Events applicants must be a resident, property owner, business owner or employee within the town of Vail. Although the position is voluntary, the town provides each member of the Commission with a blue parking pass in appreciation for their service to the community.
Planning and Environmental Commission applicants must be residents and registered voters in the Town of Vail. In appreciation of their services, Planning Commission members receive a blue parking pass and a merchant ski pass.
Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council applicants must be an owner of real property or taxable personal property in Vail. Corporations or entities that own property within the Town of Vail may forward a designee from their corporation or entity to be considered for the Advisory Council.
