Vail Lunch & Learn series continues Wednesday
VAIL – Vail Vitality Center’s popular Lunch & Learn series continues on Wednesday with ‘Digestion: The Key to Health,’ an interactive lecture from Dr. Lisa Muncy-Pietrzak.It is universally accepted that a well-balanced diet is essential for ultimate health and wellbeing. Even more important is the body’s digestive work and proper absorption, allowing the body to efficiently use what it is receiving.This interactive session with Dr. Muncy-Pietrzak features details of the super foods that aid in digestion and the important components that contribute to complete absorption.Muncy-Pietrzak, MD, is board certified in internal medicine and integrative holistic medicine. She uses advanced testing and an integrative scientific approach to evaluate and treat health problems. Her practice, Vibrant Health of Vail, is located at Vail Vitality Center at Vail Mountain Lodge.”We really are what we eat,” said Dr. Muncy “Once we learn the basic details about digestion and proper absorption, we really can affect daily life; how we feel and how our bodies perform.” Lunch & Learn sessions take place on select Wednesdays throughout the summer and are led by the medical professionals and industry experts at Vail Vitality Center at Vail Mountain Lodge. This affordable, ongoing program is designed to address some of the most common health concerns, enabling attendees to take the first steps toward a better understanding of personal wellness. Each Lunch & Learn session features a different topic, and all sessions include lunch from Terra Bistro.The next Lunch & Learn session is “Core Strength and Stability” with Dr. Lisa Muncy and chiropractor Mark Pitcher. It will take place Aug. 29 from noon to 2:30 p.m. and include lunch, a lecture and a core strength and stability exercises with Vail Vitality Center trainers.Cost for Vail Vitality Center’s Lunch & Learn program is $40 per session; pre-registration is required. Lunch & Learn sessions include a topic-based lecture, lunch from Terra Bistro (vegetarian/vegan option available), and – for some sessions – a hands-on fitness experience.
