Vail man stabbed by roommate, police say

VAIL, Colorado – An officer pulled over a man around 1:30 a.m. Friday only to discover the driver had been stabbed, Vail Police Chief Dwight Henninger said.
The man, 33, whose named was not released, had had an altercation with his roommate at a home on Alta Circle in West Vail and had been stabbed mulitple times with a knife, police said.
The roommate, Javier Huicar-Villa, 27, was taken into custody near the Vail Transportation Center. He will be charged with felony assault and was to be booked at the Eagle County jail, Henninger said.
The victim was treated at the Vail Valley Medical Center and released, Henninger said.
