Vail marketing district seeks brand help

VAIL, Colorado – The Vail Local Marketing District is accepting qualification proposals for strategic brand planning services from individuals or companies with proven experience in the travel industry. The strategic brand planning will be used to help Vail capitalize on driving overnight visitation during need periods of May through October 2013, utilizing measurable, successful strategies and leveraging existing Vail assets, as well as continuing to refine and deliver on enhancing the guests’ experience in Vail.
Candidates are asked to submit proposals to Kelli McDonald, Town of Vail economic development manager, at email@example.com by 3 p.m. Nov. 5. The submittal should include background information and expertise, examples of previous work relevant to the travel industry, specific case studies and an approach to the scope of work identified by the Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council.
The Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council is a nine-member volunteer board and is responsible for making recommendations to the Vail Town Council, which serves as the Vail Local Marketing District Board, for summer and shoulder season marketing programs funded by a 1.4 percent Vail lodging tax.
