Vail marketing district seeks help selling summer

VAIL ” The Vail Local Marketing District is seeking proposals from qualified marketing companies to help with its Web and e-mail marketing programs for 2009.
The district is responsible for summer and shoulder season marketing programs in Vail, and is funded by a 1.4 percent lodging tax which generates approximately $2 million per year.
Responses to the district’s request for qualifications are due Feb. 9 and should include a statement covering the firm’s resources, expertise, annual billing revenues, number of employees, client lists and references, plus an overview of the team responsible for the project and their backgrounds. In addition, examples of relevant Web and e-mail marketing projects should be included, as well as a proposed approach to meeting the goals outlined by the district and the budget for the project.
Responses must be e-mailed to Kelli McDonald, town of Vail economic development manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Three finalists will be selected by Feb. 12. Finalists will make presentations to the Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council Feb. 19. Final selection date is Feb. 20.
