Vail Mountain closed due to lightning

VAIL – Lightning forced the closure of Vail Mountain on Friday. The mountain closed at approximately 11:30 a.m. and will reassess at 1 p.m. Rainy conditions turned to slushy snow in Vail Village as the noon hour approached on Friday. A winter storm warning remains in effect until 9 p.m. Sunday.
