Vail Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL, Colorado – Ski season starts in Vail, Colorado on Friday, Nov. 20, and ends on Sunday, April 18.

The mountain will be open from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on its first day. How many runs, chairlifts and restaurants will be open on opening day depends how much snow there is on the slopes, Vail Resort says.

This season also marks the 10th anniversary of Blue Sky Basin, which opened on Jan. 6, 2000 with dozens of new mogul, tree and cliff runs.

Vail Resorts also says the Epic Season Pass is still available for the 2009-2010 winter season for $599 for adults and $299 for children, ages 5-12. The pass works at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Heavenly as well as at Arapahoe Basin without restrictions. Fore more information, visit
