Vail Mountain reports 14 inches

National Weather Service

VAIL, Colorado – Vail Mountain reported 14 inches of fresh snow and Beaver Creek Mountain, nine inches, from a spring storm that refreshed Colorado’s snowpack and also closed Vail Pass for about four hours Monday.

The National Weather Forecast is for snow to taper off tonight but return later Wednesday. The Weather Service forecast for Wednesday is a 50 percent chance of snow with snow likely Wednesday night.

Another storm is expected to move in Thursday, bringing another possibility of heavy snow.

Sunnier weather could return to the valley Saturday, the Weather Service says.
