Vail Mountain Rescue and Eagle County paramedics train with helicopter crews

EDWARDS — CareFLIGHT of the Rockies, based in Rifle, and Flight for Life Colorado, based in Summit County, did a joint training for Eagle County Paramedic Services and Vail Mountain Rescue at Colorado Mountain College on Saturday.

The session provided the search and rescue Crew Card/Lift Ticket recurrence training. Flight For Life Colorado is the oldest hospital-based emergency helicopter operation in the country, and CareFLIGHT of the Rockies is the second-oldest.
