EAGLE-VAIL – What do you get when you bring together a middle school gym teacher, a graphic designer and a tile installer with a penchant for writing and performing their own free form original music? Well, in this particular incarnation, you get local, Minturn-based, Schwing Daddy, which will perform at the pub at Paddy’s at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. There is no cover charge for the show.

Comprising Karm Trygg and Tim Campbell on guitars and vocals, bassist Mark Blickenstaff and drummer Leo Spaziani, Schwing Daddy takes its eclectic musical cues from a variety of sources. Among their influences are The Violent Femmes and Flaming Lips.

Schwing Daddy has been a presence in the Valley music scene for some time and is known by many for their regular appearances on the deck at Beaver Creek’s Red Tail Camp. They are known for performing their own songs along with rock and reggae standards while delving occasionally into country.

This show is part of Paddy’s ongoing ‘Live in the Pub’ music series. Paddy’s is located on Highway 6 in Eagle-Vail. For more information call 970-949-6093 or go to
