Vail Nordic Center open house rescheduled

VAIL –An open house scheduled for Friday night at the Vail Nordic Center has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov. 21. The open house will occur during the Vail Nordic Club’s Nordic Swap, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day.

The Vail Recreation District and Ski and Snowboard Club Vail are hosting the open house so residents and guests to learn more about the grooming of the track, purchase season passes at a discounted rate, check out Nordic swap gear, and learn about the ski club’s Nordic program and the Nordic Town Series.

A portion of the proceeds from the Nordic swap will benefit the ski club’s Nordic program.



Nordic Center season pass sales are underway at the Nordic Center from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. Early season rates are available through Nov. 22 and passes cost $80 for adults, $70 for Vail residents and $40 for students. Beginning Nov. 22, passes will cost $90 for adults, $80 for Vail residents and $50 for students. Daily fees for the 2009-10 season will be $8 and children under 12 years of age will be free.
