Vail opens more terrain
Vail CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado – Vail Mountain increased its open terrain Saturday with the opening of Chair 4, the Mountain Top Express.
Vail opened Chair 3, the Wildwood Express, on Friday, while Chair 2, the Avanti Express, opened Wednesday.
The added front-side lifts mean Vail now has 11 of its 31 chairlifts running, with about 8 percent of the resort’s total terrain now open – that’s 31 of 193 trails, according to Vail’s website.
Some of the other popular open lifts include Cascade Village, Born Free Express, the Eagle Bahn Gondola and the Vista Bahn Express. The majority of the terrain open at the resort right now is beginner and intermediate terrain with packed powder conditions and some icy spots.
