Vail parking pass restrictions lifted

VAIL, Colorado – Parking pass restrictions in Vail have been lifted as of Monday for Blue and Green parking pass holders. The peak season restrictions had been in place since Dec. 24. The Blue pass is now good for entry into the Vail Village structure Monday through Thursday as well as anytime in the Lionshead structure, while the Green pass is good for entry again into the Lionshead structure Monday through Thursday.

Blue and Green passes will again be restricted on Jan. 17 during the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday with the last peak day restriction for the season taking place Feb. 21 on Presidents’ Day.

Vail transit and parking operations reported busy conditions during the Christmas and New Year’s holiday. Overflow parking on the South Frontage Road has occurred just once since the season began with 393 cars on the road on Dec. 11 during Snow Daze.
