VAIL, Colorado – Vail Resorts’ ongoing partnership with American Airlines has resulted in new deals for season pass-holders and devoted skiers this season.

The ski company and airline announced the “Make it Epic” sweepstakes, where one grand prize winner will get enough American Airlines miles, hotel stays, ski rentals and passes to visit all of Vail Resorts’ mountains in one season.

Vail Resorts and American Airlines are offering entries into the sweepstakes through Nov. 15, with extra entries available by booking American Airlines flights to Vail, Denver or Reno for travel through April or by buying an Epic Pass between now and Nov. 15.

“(The partnership) should generate the value of their and our shared audience, which has a shared purpose – a passion for skiing,” said Vail Mountain Marketing Director Adam Sutner.

In addition to the sweepstakes, Vail Resorts season pass-holders will receive 20 percent off a new individual American Airlines Admirals Club one-year membership, 10 percent off American Airlines flights to Vail, Denver and Reno and double frequent flyer miles on flights to Vail, Denver and Reno.

The deal is only valid for flights into the airports, including return flights, and is not valid for outbound flights from those airports.

The grand prize winner will receive 500,000 American Airlines frequent flyer miles, one 3-night stay in a RockResorts hotel at each of the five main resorts, two Vail Epic Passes, free ski rentals at each of the five main resorts, round-trip ground transportation on Colorado Mountain Express, and $5,500 cash.

Ten first-prize winners will receive an Epic Pass and 25,000 American Airlines frequent flyer miles.
