Vail Pass reopens Monday evening following vehicle recovery
Westbound lanes of Interstate 70 closed near the Vail Pass summit, or mile marker 190, for a motor vehicle accident, according to an Eagle County Alert that came in around 5 p.m. Monday night.
The interstate closed while crews recovered an SUV that rolled over through the narrows, according to Charlie Stubblefield, owner of Mountain Recovery.
Stubblefield said no injuries were reported.
The roadway reopened around 6:15 p.m.
