Vail Pass reopens after closure

VAIL – Interstate 70 has reopened eastbound over Vail Pass after it was closed due to accidents and severe winter weather Wednesday.
Snow has fallen steadily all afternoon in the Vail area, which remains under a winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service. The service has predicted 5 to 10 inches of total snowfall in the area through Thursday morning.
Westbound I-70 has reopened between Georgetown and Frisco.
Eastbound I-70 has also reopened between Silverthorne and the Eisenhower Tunner.
