Vail Pass slow in both directions, forecast calls for cold temps

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ” The forecast for snow in the Vail Valley came true. Snow accumulations are expected to range between 2 and 4 inches for Thursday, with a 40 percent chance of snow on Friday.

Reports of traffic on I-70 indicate slow going in both eastbound and westbound lanes near Vail Pass.

The weather front bringing in the moisture is also bringing in colder temperatures. Expect lows for Thursday and Friday night to dip into the 20s.

Weather into the weekend calls for partly cloudy skies, with highs in the 50s and 60s and overnight lows hovering around 32 degrees.
