Vail Pass winter rules in effect Nov. 28

VAIL, Colorado ” New winter rules will take place for the Vail Pass area of Colorado’s White River National Forest, the United States Forest Service announced Tuesday.

Beginning Nov. 28, the service will collect fees for use of the Vail Pass Winter Recreation Area. The rates for season and day passes are the same as last year “-$40 for a season pass and $6 for a day use pass. The passes can be bought at Vail Pass recreation locations as well as at the Silverthorne and Minturn offices of the White River National Forest.

For snow removal reasons, overnight parking in the Black Lakes Parking Lot at Vail Pass is prohibited during this winter.
