Vail Plaza Hotel has a new name – The Sebastian
The Vail Plaza Hotel & Club has a new management company and a new name – The Sebastian.Ferruco Vail Ventures, a family-owned investment group out of Mexico City, bought the 100-room hotel and 38-unit residence club in a bankruptcy court sale in January. The owners named Carbondale-based Timbers Resorts as the new management group. The Sebastian – A Timbers Resorts Hotel & Residence Club, is scheduled to debut in December of this year.”We continue to search for one-of-a-kind locations around the world and are very happy to add The Sebastian and this great partnership with Ferruco Vail Ventures to our portfolio of properties,” said David A. Formerly with The Bernardus Lodge in Carmel, Calif., Oprish has more than 25 years’ experience in the luxury hotel and travel industry.Design and construction is currently underway for enhanced dining, spa and residential accommodations.
