Vail Recreation District registration open for adult leagues
Registration is open for Vail Recreation District’s fall adult leagues and open gyms. Leagues include flag football, soccer and volleyball; and open gyms offer drop-in basketball, indoor soccer, volleyball as well as pickleball.
Adult flag football takes place at the Homestake Peak School stadium in Eagle-Vail on Sunday mornings from Sept. 9 to Oct. 21. Cost is $390 per team for district taxpayers and $425 per team for non-district taxpayers.
Adult coed 8v8 soccer takes place at the Homestake Peak School stadium in Eagle-Vail on Monday evenings from Sept. 10 to Oct. 22. Limit of seven teams, and teams must have three female players on the field at all times. Cost is $270 per team.
Adult coed volleyball takes place at the Homestake Peak School gym in Eagle-Vail on Wednesday evenings from Oct. 17 to Dec. 19. Teams consist of four people with at least one female on the court. Cost is $210 per team for district taxpayers and $250 per team for non-district taxpayers.
There is no registration required for drop-in gyms, taking place at Homestake Peak School gym in Eagle-Vail from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Punch cards and passes are available.
Drop-in basketball will be Mondays starting Sept. 10 and costs $4.
Drop-in indoor soccer will be Tuesdays starting Oct. 27 and costs $4.
Drop-in volleyball will be Fridays starting Sept. 21 and costs $4.
Drop-in pickleball will be held daily at Golden Peak Pickleball Center in Vail (weather permitting) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for all skill levels.
Afternoon drop-in sessions are offered daily from 4 to 7 p.m.
The Vail-based Gore Valley Citizens Alliance has announced it has filed for “judicial review” of the town’s decision regarding the Booth Heights workforce housing project. That request was filed in 5th Judicial District Court in Eagle.
