Vail Resorts announces 2002-03 season-pass prices

Daily Staff Report

“At a time when lift ticket prices are increasing at most ski resorts, we’ve kept the price on the Colorado Pass and Buddy Pass constant,” said Martin White, senior vice president of marketing and sales.”

The Colorado Pass features unrestricted skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin, plus 10 days at Vail and Beaver Creek. The 10 days of skiing at Vail and Beaver Creek can be used any time during the more than 150-day season – except for nine days around specific holiday periods.

The pass will be available at the renewal rate of $299 and new purchase rate of $319 for adults. A child’s Colorado Pass can be renewed or purchased new at $129, the same price as last season.

In addition to the Colorado Pass, Vail Resorts will again sell the Buddy Pass at the renewal rate of $249 or new purchase rate of $269 for adults. A child’s Buddy Pass, whether renewing or purchasing new, will be available at $109 for children. Both the Colorado Pass and Buddy Pass offer unlimited, unrestricted skiing and riding at Keystone, Breckenridge and Arapahoe Basin.

For new pass-holders, sales kick off on Friday, Aug. 23 at a number of Front Range locations and for existing pass-holders. Renewals will begin online at http://www.snow.com on Aug. 26. Pass sales will run through Nov. 3. Current pass holders can renew online at http://www.snow.com, beginning Aug. 26.
