Vail Resorts hosts hiring events Nov. 5 in Vail, Summit
EAGLE AND SUMMIT COUNTIES — Vail Resorts is hosting a national hiring event Nov. 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. for positions at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Colorado Mountain Express. Employment offers will be extended and no RSVP is required. Interested candidates who cannot make the event are encouraged to apply at http://www.vailresortscareers.com.
Vail Resorts is interviewing for seasonal resort jobs including mountain and lift operations, food and beverage, ski school, hospitality, lodging, transportation and retail/rental operations. Both full-time and part-time positions for the upcoming 2016-2017 season are available. Jobs are available for all ages and for all schedules. Many employees work for a season and stay for a career. Employees often start at one resort and then transfer to another for the summer, and return for winter at most Vail Resorts properties or resorts.
“When I was in college earning a degree in biology, it never occurred to me that I would make a career in the ski industry in a place 2,000 miles from where I grew up. There’s nothing like working in the mountains … the view and healthy lifestyle never gets old,” said Susan Elliott, senior manager of lift operations at Breckenridge Ski Resort. “Vail Resorts has given me the opportunity to pursue my passions and grow my career by allowing me to learn and develop. I’m challenged daily and have opportunities to be creative and make a positive impact on our staff and guests. I thoroughly enjoy the ‘family’ I work with and the incredible environment we share.”
Employees will receive a complimentary ski pass for the 2016-2017 season or are reimbursed if they have already purchased a pass, as well as a competitive set of pay, benefits and unique perks including discounts on lodging, dining, gear and ski lessons for employees and their families. Additionally, employees at every level within the company are given access to tools for leadership development. Opportunities for lateral and upward mobility exist in numerous positions across Vail Resorts properties and at the corporate headquarters in Broomfield.
