Vail Resorts now full owner of Wyoming lodge
DENVER – RockResorts, a Vail Resorts subsidiary, has purchased the 49 percent minority share of the Snake River Lodge and Spa in Jackson Hole, Wyo., making the company the sole owner of the property. RockResorts has owned part of the Snake River Lodge and Spa since December 2001.”Vail Resorts has made no secret of late of our desire to manage rather than own hotel properties,” said Adam Aron, chief executive of Avon-based Vail Resorts. “Now that we own 100 percent of the Snake River Lodge and Spa, we will have full control and flexibility in considering a much broader range of options with respect to ultimate ownership of the property.”At the same time, we can continue our plans to manage this and other properties,” Aron said. Earlier this week, RockResorts announced it reached a deal to manage the Lodge and Spa at Cordillera. The Snake River Lodge and Spa is at the base of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and has 88 hotel rooms and 40 privately owned condominiums, just one mile from the gateway to Grand Teton National Park. RockResorts also announced it will no longer manage the 63-room Casa Madrona Hotel and Spa in Sausalito, Calif., which it had managed since December 2001.Vail, Colorado
