Vail Resorts offers ‘last chance’ sale
SUMMIT COUNTY ” Prices for Vail Resorts’ season passes are going up, but locals will have one more chance to buy all-mountain tickets at the pre-season rate through Sept. 7.
The locals’ last-chance sale is at ticket offices in Eagle and Summit counties, with adult Colorado and Summit passes selling for $439 and $399 respectively. Prices will go up $10 after the last chance sale.
The all-mountain Epic Pass, with unrestricted skiing and riding at Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone as well as California’s Heavenly ski area, will continue to sell for $579 ($279 for kids) through Nov. 15.
After its split with Colorado Ski Country USA, Vail Resorts also has set up its own version of the fifth-grade passport program, called School of Shred. Fifth-graders get three free days of skiing, while sixth-graders get four days free.
Students and parents have to visit a ticket office together during the fall pass sale period to sign up for the program.
Keystone and Breckenridge are scheduled to open Nov 7. For details on Vail’s pass programs, visit http://www.coloradopass.com, or call (888) 215-3867.
