Vail Resorts steps up with two weeks left in season

VAIL ” With spring in full swing and two weeks

remaining in the season, there’s still plenty of fun left to be had on snow at Vail.

The season-end celebration, Spring Back to Vail, features more concerts, events, and skiing and riding on nearly 100 percent of mountain terrain through April 16.



Snow lovers can also enjoy the Back Bowls and Blue Sky Basin through closing day on April 23 complete with $30 lift tickets on April 22 and 23.

This week Spring Back to Vail events include street parties, Malay Day’s Jump, Rail, and Pipe Jam, and the wet and wild World Pond Skimming Championships. On April 14 and 15 artists Cracker, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Little Hercules are slated to perform free concerts. Thanks to the abundant snowfall this season, from April 17-23 spring skiers and riders can carve their last few turns on the front side as well as a variety of terrain in Sun Up, Sun Down and China Bowls and Blue Sky Basin, serviced by 20 lifts.

On-mountain dining facilities, including Two Elk, Eagle’s Nest Market Place, Mid-Vail, and Buffalo’s will also remain open through April 23. Adult and Children’s Ski and Snowboard Schools in Vail Village, LionsHead, and Golden Peak will offer lessons through closing day.
