Vail Resorts takes no position on Crossroads
VAIL ” Supporters say the new Crossroads will bring amenities that will help Vail diversify its offerings as a resort. Opponents say it will hurt the charm that has made Vail a No. 1 ski resort.
But Vail Resorts isn’t taking a stance on the issue.
Jen Brown, spokeswoman for Vail Mountain, said the company doesn’t take positions on political issues that don’t affect the company directly.
“Vail Resorts respects the democratic process and it is up to the entire Vail community to determine the outcome of this election issue,” she said.
The Vail Valley Chamber and Tourism Bureau endorsed the Crossroads proposal last month.
The town will vote July 11 on the proposal for the Crossroads site, which includes 69 condos, a 10-lane bowling alley, a three-screen movie, a public plaza/ice rink, stores and restaurants.
