Vail Resorts taking grant applications

VAIL, Colorado -Vail Resorts Echo is kicking off the 2010 fall grant process open to local nonprofits.
For its charitable contributions, Vail Resorts Echo supports programs that enhance the quality of life in the communities Vail Resorts operates in. Specifically, the focus of charitable giving through Echo is in the two main areas of supporting educational and youth programs and encouraging innovation in and implementation of environmental stewardship practices.
Local leaders from each division of Vail Resorts form the Vail Resorts Echo County Giving Councils in Eagle and Summit counties, and they award cash grants and in-kind donations once a year through a grant application process. Application are available for nonprofits who run programs within the focus areas, benefit local residents and are based in Eagle County.

Applications are due Aug. 16. One application should be submitted for both cash and in-kind requests. An organization can receive funds and/or in-kind donations once each year.
