Vail seeks 2009 holiday ideas

VAIL, Colorado ” The Commission on Special Events in Vail, Colorado is seeking proposals for events and activities to be held between the start of the ski season in November 2009 and New Year’s Eve.

The commission is looking for ideas from local promoters, event producers and nonprofit organizations. The commission also hopes to support a marketing effort for events that will draw families to Vail and create vitality in the village, said Sybill Navas, special events coordinator.
