Vail seeks board members

VAIL, Colorado – The town of Vail is seeking community members to fill vacancies on two citizen boards. Openings exist on the Vail Commission on Special Events and the Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council. Applications for the vacancies are due to the town by 5 p.m. Dec. 10. The Vail Town Council will conduct interviews during its work session on Dec. 21, with appointments to follow at its evening meeting. Three vacancies exist on the Commission on Special Events. Applicants must be a resident, property owner, business owner, or employee within the town of Vail. The terms of the three members shall be for two years and end on Dec. 31, 2012.
Four vacancies exist on the Vail Local Marketing District Advisory Council. The terms of the four members shall be for two years and end on Dec. 31, 2012. To qualify, applicants must be an owner of real property or taxable personal property in Vail. Corporations or entities that own property within the town of Vail may forward a designee from their corporation or entity to be considered for the Advisory Council. –
