Vail seeks children’s books

Weekly staff report
theweekly@vaildaily.com

VAIL — This holiday season, the town of Vail’s Art in Public Places is working with the Vail Public Library to collect new and gently used children’s books to aid Colorado flood relief.

Working with the Early Childhood Services of Boulder Youth and Family Division, Vail will distribute directly to those in the most desperate need. One parent who is spearheading the re-opening of a small Montessori school in Lyons that closed due to the floods said, “Anything is wonderful. We are starting from scratch.”

Drop-off boxes for donated children’s books are located at the Vail Public Library, the Town of Vail Municipal building and the town of Vail Public Works Administration building.
