With the busy weekend ahead, here are a few things to keep in mind during the Fourth of July festivities in Vail.• Following the fireworks, underage family members must be supervised by parents between the hours of 10:30 p.m. on July 4 to 5 a.m. July 5. The safety measures were introduced during the Fourth of July celebration four years ago and have been repeated on New Year’s Eve.• There will be a townwide curfew for unsupervised juveniles 17 and under, and people under 21 will not be allowed into a four-block area of Vail Village without a parent or guardian. • Pedestrians should not enter construction sites throughout the town, many are unsafe. The town also is asking for help in preventing the theft of Vail’s coveted manhole covers. Call the Vail Police Department at 479-2200 to report any suspicious activity.• The town will distribute information pamphlets during the holiday weekend detailing the event schedule and public safety campaign.
