VAIL, Colorado –Jim Lindley, the 63-year-old Vail man who was shot three times at the Sandbar Saturday, remains in a Denver hospital in critical but stable condition.

Doctors at Denver Health Medical Center have told family members that though Lindley is unconscious and on life support, he should make a full recovery.

“He’s a great guy,” Lindley’s daughter said. “He’s super-friendly, really intelligent”

Lindley, a cook at the Vail Valley Medical Center, has lived in Vail for about 20 years and has worked at various restaurants, said his daughter.

Lindley is an active skier and fly fisherman, and in good shape, his daughter said.

As a cook, she said, Lindley’s specialty is Cajun and Creole food and when he visits her, her friends want to come over for dinner.

Lindley’s daughter also said she wanted to thank the community for its support.
