Vail skate park closes for season Oct. 11

VAIL, Colorado – Vail’s skate park, located on the top deck of the Lionshead parking structure, will close for the season at dusk on Oct. 11. Beginning Oct. 12, crews from the town of Vail and the Vail Recreation District, with the assistance of Hazard County Construction of Georgia, which built the park, will begin the process of dismantling and storing the skatepark. Removal will take four to five days.
The park will be reinstalled in May 2010 for the skatepark’s fourth season. For more details, call Todd Oppenheimer, town of Vail capital projects manager, at 479-2161.
