Vail skate park to close Wednesday

VAIL, Colorado – Vail’s skate park, located on the top deck of the Lionshead parking structure, will close for the season at dusk on Wednesday. Beginning Thursday, crews from the Town of Vail and the Vail Recreation District, with the assistance of Hazard County Construction of Georgia who built the features, will begin the process of dismantling and storage of the skate park. Removal will take four to five days.

The features will be reinstalled in May 2013 for the skate park’s seventh season. For additional details, call Todd Oppenheimer, TOV capital projects manager, at 970-479-2161.
