VAIL, Colorado ” Vail, Colorado’s skatepark is now open for the summer season on the top deck of the Lionshead parking structure. This is the third year for the park, which features a half-pipe, pyramid, multiple ramps, transitions, rails and banks, plus a street course area for younger or less experienced riders.

The skatepark is again being managed by the Vail Recreation District and will be open from dawn to dusk each day through mid-October. Helmets will be required for all park users; bikes and scooters are not permitted. The VRD will once again offer clinics that will teach participants everything from basic skills and etiquette to perfecting tricks. Skateboard clinics are for ages 7 to 14 and will take place from 10 a.m.-noon on Tuesdays, June 16 through Aug. 18. Call 479-2292 for details.
