Vail society: Food, wine for science school
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL VALLEY, Colorado – The long, wet spring that we have experienced in Colorado’s Vail Valley will encourage a banner wildflower year. As the snow in the mountains melts we can set our sights on high altitude hikes and forays. Mud season will come to an end and the trails beckon.
For those families still looking for exciting outdoor programs, Markian Feduschak, executive director of Gore Range Natural Science School, wants you to know that there is availability for Summer Youth Science Camp enrollment and scholarship opportunities with the science school. The staff at the school is gearing up for another full summer of guiding and teaching adult and children’s programs in nature’s classroom — our backyard.
Jonathan (now on the school’s board of directors) and Bethany Haerter realized that not enough people were aware of this wonderful organization and wanted to make a difference.
They held a scrumptious event in their gorgeous contemporary home in Cordillera Valley Club to showcase the school; whose mission is to awaken a sense of wonder and inspire environmental stewardship through natural science education. The science school accomplishes its mission through a combination of innovative school programs, summer youth science camps, adult seminars, and year-round interpretive programs.
