VAIL — Ski with Kim this week announced a partnership with Vail Sports during the 2016-’17 winter season to host two weeks of Women’s Ski Adventures with world extreme skiing champion Kim Reichhelm, who was recently named by Skiing Magazine as one of the “most influential skiers of all time.”
During the weeks of Jan. 9-12 and March 6-9, Vail Sports will host Women’s Ski Adventures with Reichhelm. The excursions offer women a chance to ski in a safe, laid-back and encouraging setting with other female skiers, while benefiting from Reichhelm’s instruction focused on improving specific skills to instill confidence.
“I believe we all learn better when we are comfortable and gained the trust of a strong support system,” Reichhelm said. “When we are confident, we are more likely to challenge ourselves outside our comfort zone, and this is how we improve.
“It doesn’t matter if you ski blues or blacks. It doesn’t matter if you take two runs or 10 runs. The experience is the same once you are confident: being outside in beautiful locations, feeling the wind in our faces and the rush of adrenaline in our hearts, not needing a partner to participate encourages independence.”
A welcome reception, morning “boot-up” meetings and apres ski gatherings will all be hosted slopeside at Vail Sports in Vail Village.
“The immense terrain, professional staff, friendly customer service and my longstanding relationship with the mountain since 1983 are all contributing factors as to why Vail is a perfect location for Women’s Ski Adventures,” Reichhelm said.
Serving as a ski clubhouse, Vail Sports will store gear and provide technician support for all equipment needs to achieve proper fit and comfort for participants.
“You expect the best when you choose a world-class destination like Vail, and we are excited to host Ski with Kim clinics at Vail Sports,” said Scott Speedy, Vail Sports regional manager. “Our expert ski technicians and friendly staff will be available to ensure this experience is like no other.”
Limited space is available for the Vail Sports Women’s Ski Adventures with Kim Reichhelm. For more information and reservation details, visit http://www.skiwith kim.com/ski-vail.
