Vail, state crack down on chain law

VAIL, Colorado – The Colorado State Patrol and the Vail Police Department inspected commercial vehicles Wednesday and Thursday along Interstate 70.
Drivers of commercial vehicles must carry chains for their vehicles from Sept. 1 through May 31 on Interstate 70, from milepost 133 to milepost 259. Vail Police and the State Patrol inspected 289 commercial vehicles and cited 32 for not having chains. One driver had a suspended license and two drivers had warrants out for their arrests.
