Vail streetscape work wraps up for summer
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado – The town of Vail is wrapping up construction in Vail Village and Lionshead public areas this week for the summer season. While construction on private property will continue after June 26, no construction will take place in Vail Village and Lionshead streets until after Labor Day. In-town shuttles are returning to their regular route, with service to East and West Meadow Drives.
The transition follows a nine-week construction season in which the town completed streetscape improvements along West Meadow Drive, the Solaris project installed critical underground utilities along East Meadow Drive and Village Center Drive, the Four Seasons project installed underground storm sewer and utilities along the South Frontage Road, the Landmark project installed underground storm sewer and a heated paver walk along West Lionshead Circle and the Arrabelle continued to complete final finishing details.
Future streetscape work will be timed to coincide with redevelopment of private properties, including Solaris, Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton Residences and Ramshorn. Weekly construction updates provided by the town of Vail will be discontinued during the summer and will return in the fall. Visit http://www.vailgov.com/vail-mail to subscribe.
