vail symposium

Audience members at Friday’s Vail Symposium presentation on stem cells sat captivated in personal interest as panelists touched on all aspects of the topic. Transcending an education for education’s sake, many in the audience were there to learn about these progressive therapies for personal conditions previously thought not treatable. The panel detailed their research, professional and personal experience with stem cell therapy as well as why legislation issues in the United States is causing us to fall behind in this rapidly advancing field. The audience left in a mixture of excitement for the possibilities of these new therapies, as well as frustrated with the limits placed on them. The Vail Symposium will continue on Jan. 23 with its presentation Avoiding Disaster: Homeland Security in the 21st Century — another Hot Topic. Photos by Dr. Stan Jones.
