Vail Symposium hosts third higher consciousness event

EDWARDS — Uncertainty from the vast complexity of consciousness makes the field both difficult to understand and hard to accept, but also mystifying and full of possibility. Reported notions of telepathy, remote viewing, precognition, psychokinesis, distant mental influence of living systems, and near-death studies have been discussed by organizations religious, scientific and otherwise curious.

Dr. Jane Katra believes that these topics are quite true and directly correlated with enhancing human life.

Katra holds a Ph.D. in public health and is the co-author of the books “Miracles of Mind: Exploring Nonlocal Consciousness & Spiritual Healing” and “The Heart of the Mind: Using Our Mind to Transform our Consciousness.”

She will present on Thursday at 5 p.m., and the talk will be held at the Cordillera Valley Club as a part of the Vail Symposium’s Living at Your Peak series. The program is presented in partnership with Cordillera.

“The title of my talk is ‘Higher Consciousness, Subtle Perception and Healing: Becoming the New Human,’” Katra said. “I’ll share my experiences participating in research of remote viewing, ESP, clairvoyance, psychokinesis and distant mental influence, with parapsychologists Russell Targ, Helmut Schmidt, William Braud, Steve Baumann and Dean Radin, and talk about my after-death communications.”

NEUROPLASTICITY OF THE BRAIN

Katra will discuss how functional MRI studies show the neuroplasticity of the human brain, affirming our ability to override the influences of our experiences and environment with attentional training. Her research experience with higher consciousness, subtle perception and healing shape her idea of how individuals can become a new human.

After practicing as a natural spiritual healer for 34 years as a result of a near-death experience, Katra is one of few possessing the insight and knowledge of using one’s mind to its full extent and how that can enhance the essence of life.

‘CONSCIOUSNESS IS UNLIMITED’

“I’ve lived a blessed life, in which all of these experiences have given me evidence that our consciousness is unlimited by space and time, and doesn’t die,” she said.

Dr. Eben Alexander and Dr. Raymond Moody spoke at the first two talks of the consciousness series for the Vail Symposium. Both programs sold out. Katra’s program is also anticipated to sell out.
