The Santa Barbara package includes six nights for two at the Belmond El Encanto, a $1,200 credit to spend at any of the hotel’s restaurants or spa and more.

EAGLE-VAIL — The Vail Symposium and the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunset have teamed up to present a raffle benefiting both nonprofits. Each organization has put together a prize package in its vacation-destination city to offer one — or two — winners a luxury getaway vacation.

"You can enter to win one trip or both trips," said Tim Swift, director of development at the Vail Symposium. "Both entail weeklong getaways valued at over $7,000."

The Santa Barbara package includes six nights for two at the Belmond El Encanto, a $1,200 credit to spend at any of the hotel's restaurants or spa, a kayak or paddleboard tour of Santa Barbara's waterfront, the use of a Tesla for three days, a wine country tour, a tennis lesson and dinners at some of Santa Barbara's best restaurants.

The Vail package includes six nights for two at the Four Seasons hotel, including breakfast, a couple's spa treatment at the hotel, six days of lift tickets and two days of private ski instruction. Also included are dinners for two at the Alpenrose and the Minturn Saloon.

Raffle tickets for both packages are $25 apiece or five for $100. Tickets can be purchased through the Vail Symposium website; purchase tickets for either destination individually or both. In order for a chance to win both trips, one must buy tickets for both trips.

Proceeds from the Dream Getaway Raffle will be divided equally between the two agencies and will directly benefit the efforts of the Vail Symposium and the Rotary Club of Santa Barbara Sunset's efforts to improve the quality of life in their respective communities.

"This unique partnership was made possible largely through the efforts of Jim Ruh, a retired lawyer and a member of the boards of both the Symposium and the Rotary Club," Swift said. "Jim has residences in both communities and saw the opportunity to bring together two organizations with a foundation in education in such a way that makes a real difference. Not to mention the chance at winning one of these spectacular vacations is reason enough to buy in."
