What they said: The council upheld the planning commission’s approval of the renovation of the Lions Square North building. The approval was appealed by owners of the Montaneros condominiums, who objected to heights of the proposed project and said the new building would block views and was too close to the Montaneros building.

What they said: The council asked the two developers who are interested in redeveloping the Lionshead parking structure to continue with the process and submit full proposals in September.

What this means to you: You will be able to see detailed proposals for the 6-acre, town-owned site next month. The developers plan hotels, condos, timeshares, parking, stores and conference space.

What’s next: The next deadline is in late September.
