Vail Town Council to consider Ever Vail at Tuesday meeting

Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL, Colorado – The Vail Town Council will consider an amendment to the Lionshead Redevelopment Master Plan during its Tuesday meeting, representing the first formal action to be taken by the council in its months-long review of the development application for Ever Vail.

The item, Resolution No. 6, is seventh on the agenda for the Town Council meeting, which begins at 4:30 p.m. in the Vail Town Council Chambers.

The Lionshead Redevelopment Master Plan adopted in December 1998 and last amended in May 2010 has been the guiding document for redevelopment within the approximately 75-acre Lionshead Redevelopment Master Plan area and has been used to shape development of the Arrabelle at Vail Square, First Chair, Lion Square Lodge North and Antlers at Vail. Antlers was the first redevelopment to occur following the master plan’s adoption.

Proposed amendments to the master plan under consideration Tuesday by the Town Council address a new hotel site, relocating South Frontage Road, a new gondola, a public transit center and 400 new public parking spaces.

Tuesday’s consideration by the Town Council follows earlier approvals by the Planning and Environmental Commission. The pending amendments and applications can be found on the town of Vail’s website at
